Who We Are

Victory and Praise Christian Ministries is a non-denominational independent community church organized under the non-profit laws of Canada.

We are Protestant-Evangelical in faith, Pentecostal in doctrine and Charismatic in worship. We are affiliated with The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, The Emmanuel Fellowship-Canada, The Communion Church International-Festac-Lagos, Nigeria and with The ACTS Seminary-Lagos, Nigeria.

Victory and Praise Christian Ministries was born out of spiritual need when four families met in September 1996 expressing a desire to organize a fellowship that would minister holistically (Body, Soul and Spirit) to the needs of the family.

Reverend Austen A. Egiebor, Founding Pastor serves the congregation as Senior Pastor with over thirty four years in gospel ministry.

The ministry of the Word is central at Victory and Praise. In a setting which recaptures the spontaneity and warmth and love of the New Testament Church, the Word goes forth to a congregation where the gifts of the Holy Spirit are sought and exercised by earnest believers.

What We Believe:

  • In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
  • In One God eternally existing in three person; namely, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  • That Jesus Christ is the only Son of the Father conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary.
  • That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
  • That justification, regeneration, and the new birth, through are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
  • In sanctification following the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
  • Holiness to be God’s standard of living for his people.
  • In the baptism of the Holy Ghost as an empowerment for the believer.
  • In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
  • In water baptism by immersion and that all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
  • Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
  • In the Holy Communion and our Saviour’s example of servant-hood in washing the disciples feet.
  • In the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus.
  • In the bodily resurrection: eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked.

Our Mission

Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…

To preach, teach, and make converts to the Lord Jesus Christ and train them to observe His commandments is our primary mission.

Our Vision

To establish a fellowship of believers that constitute a spirit of family in Christ and minister to each member of that family. This has been our single vision from the beginning of our congregation.

To reach beyond the four walls of our worship centre and minister to the hurting needs of our community and be a positive force for good and righteousness.

To challenge ourselves and those whom God send to our community of faith to reach our highest potential in Christ.
